CV Advice - Achieve your ambitions
Your web profile
Check that sites like LinkedIn have the same dates and information as your CV and be aware that a future employer may look at other social media profiles.
Short and sweet
Two pages (maximum three) will be enough. A CV should be a concise snapshot of your career history to date, with detail in the right places.
Keep it accurate
Make sure all information is correct, from dates to grades. Spotlight checks candidates’ CVs carefully, and an employer definitely will.
Personal profile
Why would you not want to add a personal snapshot at the top that sums you up and sells your skills and experience? Keep it relevant.
Look and feel
A CV should be easy reading, using the same font and point sizes throughout, with headings aligned and looking neat and tidy. If there is even one spelling error, this could mean your CV does not get considered.
Are your interests interesting?
Make sure your interests are a wise choice, and demonstrate certain traits that will appeal to an employer. Think carefully.

Having used one agency where the number of candidates dried up fairly quickly I chanced upon Spotlight Recruitment. After briefing them on my requirements I was delighted to receive a steady stream of suitable applicants for my vacant marketing position.
