Since 2008, Spotlight Recruitment have been proud to recruit marketing, digital, design, and communications professionals for a diverse range of charities and not-for-profit clients. These range from the smallest of UK charities to some of the biggest names requiring standout staff to support the crucial marketing function. We were recently approached by one of our long-standing clients, a national charity supporting disabled people, to assist in the recruitment of a Senior Marketing Executive to join their growing marketing team.
The Challenge
Our valued client was looking to hire a proactive Senior Marketing Executive who can help deliver powerful campaigns across the full marketing mix in order to increase brand awareness and engagement. We were briefed that the ideal candidate would have experience with databases and customer relationship management systems (CMS), as well as some experience in design across Adobe Creative Suite. Guided by our extensive experience with non-profit and membership organisations, we began the process of allocating a dedicated account manager and devising a unique campaign for each role.
Our team conducted extensive executive search and a thorough interviewing and shortlisting stage to find the most suitable candidates for our client. Once a list of several strong candidates was identified, these were proposed to the client for their seal of approval. Of the seven candidates initially shared with the client, they decided to invite five of them to the first interview via video call.
The Solution
After a successful first stage, a few of the candidates shared by our team were invited to an in-person interview. One candidate was deemed a particularly great fit for the team and was ultimately offered the position as they had charity experience also. Spotlight Recruitment were delighted to fill this role with a very short turnaround, highlighting the ease and efficiency our team can introduce into the recruitment process. We are often able to adapt our rates to meet the needs of charities as well as membership bodies, which are often non-profit, therefore ensuring that we can provide successful recruitment support in a cost-effective manner.
