The Client
Since Spotlight Recruitment was founded in 2008, we have had the opportunity to work with some inspirational, global clients, some of these operating across the environment and sustainability sector. In 2022, our team was approached by an international organisation dedicated to tackling climate change through supporting many global businesses in enhancing their sustainability measures. This client was looking to recruit a Senior Digital Associate to join their Strategic Communications team on a remote basis.
The Challenge
Spotlight Recruitment was tasked with sourcing an experienced digital communications specialist that is capable of developing the strategic vision for their European digital operations. They were seeking an individual who is confident in liaising with key stakeholders and has strong project management skills. It was also key that the ideal candidate would have a genuine interest or passion for the mission and values of the organisation. Although this was our first time working with this particular client, we were confident that our wide-reaching network and experience in communications and across sustainability would support our search for the ideal candidate. Our team immediately took action, following our stellar process of allocating a dedicated Account Manager, devising a bespoke campaign, and conducting extensive executive search to source excellent candidates. Our thorough process of in-depth interviewing and shortlisting ensures that candidates have Spotlight’s final seal of approval before any official interviews.
Once a collection of strong and experienced candidates was identified, these were proposed to the client for review. We were pleased that all candidates initially presented from our thorough search were selected for a first-stage video interview with the Digital Director.
The Solution
This process consisted of 3 stages, with two standout candidates reaching the final interview stage. Ultimately, our client decided to offer the role to the candidate with the most relevant experience, and whose values closely aligned with those of the organization. The whole recruitment process from client enquiry to job offer was approximately 5 weeks. Spotlight Recruitment was pleased to have efficiently recruited on behalf of this new client, especially for one with such a progressive and crucial vision. As a result of this successful process, we have since recruited on this client’s behalf for another role in their Audience Insight team very recently.
