Over our plentiful years of recruitment expertise, we have worked with a roster of ambitious clients that operate within the events sector, recruiting on their behalf for roles across advertising, design, media and events. One of our long-standing clients is a large, award-winning global events organisation that manages B2B events across the UK, Europe, USA, and Asia. Due to exciting company-wide growth plans, this client recently reached out to our team to request assistance in hiring a Marketing Executive to join their marketing team.
The Challenge
This client was looking to onboard a French-speaking Marketing Executive to join their UK marketing team. Our team was briefed that the ideal candidate for this position would have previous events experience, specifically in trade shows, exhibitions, or conferences, as well as some experience producing creative marketing plans and materials. In terms of character, they were looking for a self-motivated individual with strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Supported by our knowledge of the client’s organisational culture and team dynamic, we commenced our process of allocating a dedicated Account Manager, who had expertise within events recruitment. The Account Manager then composed a bespoke recruitment campaign to source the ideal candidates for our client, followed by commencing an extensive executive search. Our process involves conducting our own stringent interviewing and shortlisting process to guarantee candidates were well-matched.
The Solution
From the initial batch of highly relevant candidates presented to our client, three individuals were selected for interview. For this particular role, the interview process consisted of two stages, the first being a virtual interview, and the second being an in-person meeting in the office. There was one candidate who fit the job specification extremely closely and seemed like a natural fit within the team; So, after two interviews, this candidate was swiftly offered the role of Marketing Executive, to which they happily accepted!
