Over our history, Spotlight Recruitment have recruited on the behalf of many notable clients within the fashion industry, hiring for roles across marketing, events, digital, design, and communications. One of our valued clients is a global, luxury fashion and jewellery brand with boutique stores dotted across the globe. This client recently reached out to us to request assistance in hiring a Marketing Executive to join their growing UK marketing team.
The Challenge
We were briefed that our client was looking for a Marketing Executive with previous experience in marketing for a global brand and ideally fashion, as well as a strong ability to multi-task several projects. This client prefers an on-site working approach in their stylish and collaborative London office, so it was vital that the candidates put forward were happy with office-based working. Additionally, the key criteria were that the candidates had a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Spotlight Recruitment’s efficient process involves allocating a dedicated Account Manager who conducts rigorous research and executive search and devises a tailored campaign to deliver well-matched candidates. After the Spotlight team had performed our own thorough interviewing and shortlisting process to ensure candidates were a great fit, a selection of highly relevant candidates was delivered to our client.
The Solution
For this role, the interview process consisted of two stages, the first of which being an online video call with the Marketing Manager, and the second stage involving an in-person interview at their office to present a marketing task. From the initial selection of candidates sent to the client, the majority were selected to interview. After a successful video interview, two standout candidates were invited into the office for the second stage. As a result, one candidate seemed to be a slightly better fit for the business’ culture and were swiftly offered the role as Marketing Executive. We managed to fill this role within a matter of a few short weeks, so the client was extremely satisfied with this result.
