Recently, one of our repeat clients, a small public relations firm based in London specializing in financial and technology, requested our team’s assistance to hire an Account Manager to join their growing team.
The Challenge
Our client briefed us that they were looking for an enthusiastic Account Manager to implement fully integrated PR and digital campaigns for their tech and finance clients. In addition to this, the ideal candidate would be a committed, organised individual that has strong client management skills. Assured by our past successes with recruiting for this client, we got to work. Our team of Consultants are all ex-marketers, and we are able to understand the bespoke needs of different clients and the niche skill requirements for marketing roles. To begin, we allocated a dedicated Account Manager who would curate a bespoke recruitment campaign that would reach highly relevant candidates. After conducting extensive executive search and a thorough interviewing and shortlisting stage, we presented a list of several strong candidates to our client for their seal of approval.
The Solution
For this role, the interview process consisted of two stages, the first of which being an online video interview, and the second being an in-person interview with senior management in their offices. To our delight, the client thought that the candidates met the exact criteria for the role, so initially invited four well-matched individuals to interview. After first stage interviews were complete, it was down to two finalists put forward by our team, with both being considered as it was a difficult decision for our client. Ultimately, it was decided that the role would be offered to the candidate who seemed like the more natural fit within the team. We were involved in salary negotiations and settling on an offer which all parties were happy with. The Spotlight Recruitment team were very happy to have filled this Account Manager role, and our client was extremely satisfied with this streamlined, efficient process.
